एवं बहुविधा यज्ञा वितता ब्रह्मणो मुखे। कर्मजान्विद्धि तान्सर्वानेवं ज्ञात्वा विमोक्ष्यसे।।

Transliteration in English

evaṁ bahu-vidhā yajñā vitatā brahmaṇo mukhe karma-jān viddhi tān sarvān evaṁ jñātvā vimokṣhyase

एवं बहु-विधा यज्ञा वितता ब्रह्मणो मुखे कर्म-जान्-विद्धि तान्-सर्वानेवं ज्ञात्वा विमोक्ष्यसे

Word Meaning

evam—thus; bahu-vidhāḥ—various kinds of; yajñāḥ—sacrifices; vitatāḥ—have been described; brahmaṇaḥ—of the Vedas; mukhe—through the mouth; karma-jān—originating from works; viddhi—know; tān—them; sarvān—all; evam—thus; jñātvā—having known; vimokṣhyase—you shall be liberated

शब्दार्थ

एवम्– इस प्रकार; बहु-विधाः– विविध प्रकार के; यज्ञाः– यज्ञ; वितताः– फैले हुए हैं; ब्रह्मणः– वेदों के; मुखे– मुख में; कर्म-जान्– कर्म से उत्पन्न; विद्धि– जानो; तान्– उन; सर्वान्– सबको; एवम्– इस तरह; ज्ञात्वा– जानकर; विमोक्ष्यसे– मुक्त हो जाओगे |

Translation

All these different types of sacrifice are approved by the Vedas, and all of them are born of different types of work. Knowing them as such, you will become liberated.

ये विभिन्न प्रकार के यज्ञ वेदसम्मत हैं और ये सभी विभिन्न प्रकार के कर्मों से उत्पन्न हैं | इन्हें इस रूप में जानने पर तुम मुक्त हो जाओगे |

Different types of sacrifice, as discussed above, are mentioned in the Vedas to suit the different types of worker. Because men are so deeply absorbed in the bodily concept, these sacrifices are so arranged that one can work either with the body, with the mind or with the intelligence. But all of them are recommended for ultimately bringing about liberation from the body. This is confirmed by the Lord herewith from His own mouth.

जैसा कि पहले बताया जा चुका है वेदों में कर्ताभेद के अनुसार विभिन्न प्रकार के यज्ञों का उल्लेख है | चूँकि लोग देहात्मबुद्धि में लीन हैं, अतः इन यज्ञों की व्यवस्था इस प्रकार की गई है कि मनुष्य उन्हें अपने शरीर, मन अथवा बुद्धि के अनुसार सम्पन्न कर सके | किन्तु देह से मुक्त होने के लिए ही इन सबका विधान है | इसी की पुष्टि यहाँ पर भगवान् ने अपने श्रीमुख से की है |

Various types of sacrifices are mentioned in the Vedas and one who, knowing them, adopts them in his life, can attain enlightenment and eventually becomes free from the cycle of death and birth.
