अपि चेदसि पापेभ्यः सर्वेभ्यः पापकृत्तमः। सर्वं ज्ञानप्लवेनैव वृजिनं सन्तरिष्यसि।।

api ched asi pāpebhyaḥ sarvebhyaḥ pāpa-kṛit-tamaḥ sarvaṁ jñāna-plavenaiva vṛijinaṁ santariṣhyasi

अपि चेदसि पापे-भ्यः सर्वे-भ्यः पाप-कृत्तमः सर्वं ज्ञान-प्लवेन-ऐव वृजिनं सन्त-रिष्यसि

Word Meaning

api—even; chet—if; asi—you are; pāpebhyaḥ—sinners; sarvebhyaḥ—of all; pāpa-kṛit-tamaḥ—most sinful; sarvam—all; jñāna-plavena—by the boat of divine knowledge; eva—certainly; vṛijinam—sin; santariṣhyasi—you shall cross over

शब्दार्थ

अपि - भी; चेत् - यदि; असि - तुम हो; पापेभ्यः - पापियों से;सर्वेभ्यः - समस्त; पाप-कृत-तमः - सर्वाधिक पापी; सर्वम् - ऐसे समस्त पापकर्म; ज्ञान-प्लवेन - दिव्यज्ञान की नाव द्वारा; एव - निश्चय ही; वृजिनम् - दुखों के सागर को ; सन्तरिष्यसि - पूर्णतया पार कर जाओगे ।

Translation

Even if you are considered to be the most sinful of all sinners, when you are situated in the boat of transcendental knowledge you will be able to cross over the ocean of miseries.

अनुवाद

यदि तुम्हें समस्त पापियों में भी सर्वाधिक पापी समझा जाये तो भी तुम दिव्यज्ञान रूपी नाव में स्थित होकर दुख-सागर को पार करने में समर्थ होगे ।

Proper understanding of one’s constitutional position in relationship to Kṛṣṇa is so nice that it can at once lift one from the struggle for existence which goes on in the ocean of nescience. This material world is sometimes regarded as an ocean of nescience and sometimes as a blazing forest. In the ocean, however expert a swimmer one may be, the struggle for existence is very severe. If someone comes forward and lifts the struggling swimmer from the ocean, he is the greatest savior. Perfect knowledge, received from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the path of liberation. The boat of Kṛṣṇa consciousness is very simple, but at the same time the most sublime.

श्री कृष्ण के सम्बन्ध में अपनी स्वाभाविक स्थिति का सही-सही ज्ञान इतना उत्तम होता है कि अज्ञान-सागर में चलने वाले जीवन-संघर्ष से मनुष्य तुरन्त ही ऊपर उठ सकता है । यह भौतिक जगत् कभी-कभी अज्ञान सागर मान लिया जाता है तो कभी जलता हुआ जंगल । सागर में कोई कितना ही कुशल तैराक क्यों न हो, जीवन-संघर्ष अत्यन्त कठिन है । यदि कोई संघर्षरत तैरने वाले को आगे बढ़कर समुद्र से निकाल लेता है तो वह सबसे बड़ा रक्षक है । भगवान् से प्राप्त पूर्णज्ञान मुक्ति का पथ है । कृष्णभावनामृत की नाव अत्यन्त सुगम है, किन्तु उसी के साथ-साथ अत्यन्त उदात्त भी ।

One can be freed from the cycle of birth and death of the material world by transcendental knowledge, even if one’s past is dark. This is because, after attaining transcendental knowledge, one surrenders all his work to the Lord and this is always in the path of righteous.

कोई भी व्यक्ति दिव्य ज्ञान द्वारा भौतिक संसार के जन्म और मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्त हो सकता है, भले ही व्यक्ति का अतीत अंधकारमय हो। ऐसा इसलिए है, क्योंकि दिव्य ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के बाद व्यक्ति अपना सारे कर्म भगवान को समर्पित कर देता है और यह हमेशा धर्म के मार्ग में होता है।
