ये मे मतमिदं नित्यमनुतिष्ठन्ति मानवाः। श्रद्धावन्तोऽनसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते तेऽपि कर्मभिः।।

ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣhṭhanti mānavāḥ śhraddhāvanto ’nasūyanto muchyante te ’pi karmabhiḥ

ये मे मतमिदं नित्यम-अनुतिष्ठन्ति मानवाः श्रद्धा-वन्तो-नसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते ते-अपि कर्मभिः

Word Meaning

ye—who; me—my; matam—teachings; idam—these; nityam—constantly; anutiṣhṭhanti—abide by; mānavāḥ—human beings; śhraddhā-vantaḥ—with profound faith; anasūyantaḥ—free from cavilling; muchyante—become free; te—those; api—also; karmabhiḥ—from the bondage of karma

शब्दार्थ

ये– जो; मे– मेरे; मतम्– आदेशों को; इदम्– इन; नित्यम्– नित्यकार्य के रूप में; अनुतिष्ठन्ति– नियमित रूप से पालन करते हैं; मानवाः– मानव प्राणी; श्रद्धा-वन्तः– श्रद्धा तथा भक्ति समेत; अनसूयन्तः– बिना ईर्ष्या के; मुच्यन्ते– मुक्त हो जाते हैं; ते– वे; अपि– भी; कर्मभिः– सकामकर्मों के नियमरूपी बन्धन से |

Translation

Those persons who execute their duties according to My injunctions and who follow this teaching faithfully, without envy, become free from the bondage of fruitive actions.

अनुवाद

जो व्यक्ति मेरे आदेशों के अनुसार अपना कर्तव्य करते रहते हैं और ईर्ष्यारहित होकर इस उपदेश का श्रद्धापूर्वक पालन करते हैं, वे सकाम कर्मों के बन्धन से मुक्त हो जाते हैं |

The injunction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, is the essence of all Vedic wisdom and therefore is eternally true without exception. As the Vedas are eternal, so this truth of Kṛṣṇa consciousness is also eternal. One should have firm faith in this injunction, without envying the Lord. There are many philosophers who write comments on the Bhagavad-gītā but have no faith in Kṛṣṇa. They will never be liberated from the bondage of fruitive action. But an ordinary man with firm faith in the eternal injunctions of the Lord, even though unable to execute such orders, becomes liberated from the bondage of the law of karma. In the beginning of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one may not fully discharge the injunctions of the Lord, but because one is not resentful of this principle and works sincerely without consideration of defeat and hopelessness, he will surely be promoted to the stage of pure Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

अभयचरणारविंद भक्तिवेदांत स्वामी श्रील प्रभुपाद द्वारा व्याख्या

श्रीभगवान् कृष्ण का उपदेश समस्त वैदिक ज्ञान का सार है, अतः किसी अपवाद के बिना यह शाश्र्वत सत्य है | जिस प्रकार वेद शाश्र्वत हैं उसी प्रकार कृष्णभावनामृत का यह सत्य भी शाश्र्वत है | मनुष्य को चाहिए कि भगवान् से ईर्ष्या किये बिना इस आदेश में दृढ़ विश्र्वास रखे | ऐसे अनेक दार्शनिक है, जो भगवद्गीता पर टीका रचते हैं, किन्तु कृष्ण में कोई श्रद्धा नहीं रखते | वे कभी भी सकाम कर्मों के बन्धन से मुक्त नहीं हो सकते | किन्तु एक सामान्य पुरुष भगवान् के इन आदेशों में दृढविश्र्वास करके कर्म-नियम के बन्धन से मुक्त हो जाता है, भले ही वह इन आदेशों का ठीक से पालन न कर पाए, किन्तु चूँकि मनुष्य इस नियम से रुष्ट नहीं होता और पराजय तथा निराशा का विचार किये बिना निष्ठापूर्वक कार्य करता है, अतः वह विशुद्ध कृष्णभावनामृत को प्राप्त होता है |

Lord Kṛṣṇa is instructing to follow his teachings, as merely having knowledge is not enough. One need to act on it too to get result out of it.
